The original concept of JustParent came from our friends, David and Cecily, who had first-hand experience of dealing with the challenges of parental leave as small business owners.

JustParent is now run by Ed Gaze and James York. Ed won the prestigious Technology Champion of the Year award from the Insurance Times in 2023, and James, father of four, is a serial entrepreneur and founding member of Insurtech UK, a not-for-profit with the aim of making the UK the global leader for insurance innovation.

JustParent is a trading name of Innovative Risk Labs, an FCA regulated broker (FRN 609155). Our parental leave insurance product is underwritten by our partners at Apollo, a Lloyd’s of London insurer with a fantastic record of innovation. Over 330 years, Lloyd’s has built a global reputation for paying all due claims, and so we are delighted to be working with them.
